For the all-new 2023 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUV, General Motors created a campaign featuring Canadian tennis champion Bianca Andreescu.

Tennis Court

To emphasize the electrifying advancements of the new Lyriq, the outline of the tennis court was illuminated with DiffuseFlex LED BiColor strips, cut to 33 custom lengths. 5-pin Chogori field-installable connectors were soldered for plug-and-play setup and a quick turnaround for the client.

Rental cables, power, and control were provided—utilizing six VentiDrive 24-channel dimmers to manage the setup. Due to the extensive lengths of LEDs needed, power was supplied to both ends to avoid line losses using 5-pin extension cables and 2-way/Y-cable splitters. The director of photography was able to have full control over the colour temperature of each shot as she saw fit.

One creative shot required the lines to light up alongside Bianca as she walked down the court. DiffuseFlex Pixel (APA102) and a rental PixlArt 416 controller was used to create this chase effect and realize this vision.
