Joe Carlson Studio is a 6,000 sq.ft. boutique media studio in Rancho Dominguez, California. Moss LED was approached with a project to add LED lighting that would be permanently installed into the overhead grid.

The Installation

Focusing mainly on automotive photography, the studio features a flush-mounted turntable. Looking to create a dynamic lighting setup, we recommended 90 LED+R RGBW 3000K Rigid Panels controlled by eight VentiQuattro-LED DMX 24-Channel Dimmers.

The panels fit together to create a large 10'x40' overhead lightbox which provides bright, even lighting from above. Controlling separate areas of the lightbox allows for the opportunity to highlight different sections of a vehicle, accentuating its design and features.
